All the information pertaining to your date of surgery will be verbally communicated to you on the day of your consultation.
Dear Patient
This notice serves to inform you of the procedure to follow on the day of your surgery.
Patients for morning surgery:
1. Nil per mouth from 02H00 AM on the day of operation
2. Please report to hospital reception/admissions no later than 07H30
3. Operation list starts at 09H00
4. You will be discharged on the same afternoon, once fully awake and recovered from your anaesthetic
Patients for afternoon surgery:
5. Nil per mouth from 07h30 on the day of operation- have a good and early breakfast as you will be starved for most of the day
6. Please report to hospital reception/admissions no later than 11h30
7. Operation list starts at 13h30
8. You will be discharged on the same afternoon, once fully awake and recovered from your anaesthetic
